As my tables are custom order; I do not accept returns or extend refunds for cancelled orders.
My tables are guaranteed to last your lifetime and that of your heirs, simple as that. Your satisfaction and happiness with my work is what this venture is all about.
Customization relates to the timber sizes I have available at the time of order confirmation. Further, due to the nature of wood species, and the natural stains I use when applicable, I do not guarantee color matching.
My table styles are influenced by 16th–19th century classical trestle and refectory designs from medieval monastery Tyrolean French, and Spanish colonial influences. I also offer modern, very large live edge slabs of exceptional quality and unique size up to 70 inches wide and 12 feet long! The table base designs are updated and new designs added periodically and are displayed on the website.
My inventory changes frequently, but I specialize in Wisconsin red and white oak, walnut, wild cherry, hickory, maple, elm and pine. You can choose from one of the ever-evolving table base designs from the website, or request a special design that we can discuss further.
Table top widths and lengths are constructed of huge single slabs ranging from 40-70 inches 12-20 feet long. I also make tables using only 1-2 boards, and are based on availability. My coffee and center tables are generally made from what the industry refers to as ‘cookies’- round to oblong 36-65 inch diameters.
I make my own stains from natural pigments. I take great pride in my work and will make every attempt to create the wood tones you request to blend with your existing furniture or preferences, but will not guarantee exact matches as this will depend on the type of wood I have available, the porosity, and natural wood color, all which affect the final outcome. This is why I do not provide examples of wood stains on the website as
they are never exact to what a particular timber will look like in real life. You have your choice of: natural unstained-where applicable, light, medium, or dark tones in hues of various reds, browns, or natural unstained.
I use natural oil finish products. Shellac upon request.
Free in-home delivery is available to residents of Wisconsin and surrounding area within a 200 mile radius from home base. Out-of-state deliveries will be arranged. If a separate company is used for delivery and set up, related insurance and charges will be paid directly to the shipper by you. I will contact you to let you know when the table is scheduled for shipment.
My tables are built from solid ancient wood and have been designed and constructed to endure the elements of time and daily use. My tables are created from wood with characteristic variations in its surface and has been naturally dried for years. I am not responsible for these innate variations or the climate in which the table will be homed.
Because wood is a natural product it will react with varying humidity levels at different times of the year. Indoor humidity levels should be maintained at 40-50% to reduce wood furniture movement.
The furniture is sealed with a various protective finishes. Wipe up spills quickly with a damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth. Clean up food particles with water or gentle products made specifically for wood. Avoid furniture polishes, harsh chemicals, dust absorbers and abrasive cleaners. If you are not sure, please contact me via email.
Thus, I cannot be held responsible for damage to the wood surface due to cleaning products or damage to the surface caused by prolonged liquid contact, nor by normal wear and tear, scratches, burns, dents, negligence, water marks, abrasives, or unsuitable humidity levels.
